What we publish
Research highlights, explanations of technology, industry analysis and opinion — across energy, energy storage, materials, sustainability and the policy around them. Every article states which audience it is written for: a general reader, a technical reader outside the speciality, or a specialist.
Who writes here
Contribution is by invitation. We approach researchers, engineers and industry practitioners directly; there is no open submission form, and there is no way to register as an author. That keeps the standard predictable and the review load honest.
How an article gets published
An invited author writes and submits. An editor takes it on and asks a reviewer with relevant expertise to read it. Revisions go back to the author. Once the editors are satisfied, the article is prepared for publication and approved by the supervising editor before it goes live.
Published articles are never edited in place. A correction or update creates a new version, and the previous version stays on the record. If a revision is rejected, what readers already have is untouched.
Advertising and sponsorship
Advertising is labelled as advertising and sponsored material is labelled as sponsored. Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions, and no advance sight of articles.
